With your help, we are about to make history!  JustFundKY is on the verge of reaching an incredible milestone.  The JustFundKY Cliff Todd Endowment Fund is just $50,000 away from $2,000,000.00, thus becoming one of the largest permanent LGBTQ Endowments in the South.

It’s been a rough couple of years living with COVID-19.   Many of us are missing getting together to share our stories, reconnect, laugh, and dance.  It is way past time for a JustFundKY event.   What better reasons to get together than to remember our friend Cliff Todd, celebrate the new exhibition at 21C of our longtime supporter, Robert Morgan: Myths and Stories and to push us over the $2,000,000.00 mark!

If you know JustFundKY history, you recall that Cliff Todd challenged us with an amazing $500,000 pledge if we could raise an equal amount.  Hundreds of people responded to the call.  With your help and his pledge, we have been able to affect the lives of thousands of Kentuckians.  He knew that if enough Kentuckians came together and pooled their resources, we could combat bigotry through education and make the commonwealth a brighter place for the LGBTQ+ community.

With both large and small contributions and legacy gifts, the Cliff Todd Endowment Fund continues to grow.  Over the past ten years, the earnings from the endowment have been able to fund life-enhancing projects throughout Kentucky.  JustFundKY has awarded over $400,000 to 75 groups doing LGBTQ+ work in all parts of the state.  These include grants to the Powell County Library to buy and feature LGBTQ materials, to the U of L and UK Medical Schools to promote LGBTQ sensitivity among health care professionals, to Bluegrass Black Pride to host antiracism conversations, to Pride events in Pikeville, to Western Kentucky University to bring in LGBTQ speakers and many more.

On July 13, 2021, we lost Cliff, our friend, mentor, and advocate.  Cliff led by example and as a result, countless LGBTQ+ Kentuckians are living in a more open and accepting Commonwealth.  However, our work is not finished!  Growing the JustFundKY Cliff Todd Endowment Fund empowers us to meet tomorrow’s challenges.
