2015 Grant Award Recipients
The JustFundKY Board is pleased to announce the 2015 Cliff Todd Endowment Grant recipients. After careful review and screening, the Board's Grant Committee has approved the following grants:
BLUEGRASS BLACK PRIDE
$4,800 for their Ebony Wellness Program, African American History Exhibit and Panel, and their 2015 Recognition and Awards Dinner.
KENTUCKY FAIRNESS COALITION
$2,500 for their rural outreach in Western Kentucky.
MOVEABLE FEAST
$2,500 to Moveable Feast to sponsor the Henry Faulkner Symposium.
GLSO
$4,150 for training at the Interpride World Conference and for sponsoring a speaker on Trans Issues.
LEXINGTON COMMUNITY RADIO
$2,000 for LGBTQ programming.
FAIRNESS CAMPAIGN
$2,500 for their Ownesboro and Bowling Green fairness efforts.
NEST
$3,000 for their Breaking the Silence program for LGBTQ youth in Central Ky.
PANDORA PRODUCTIONS
$5,000 to sponsor a second staging in rural Kentucky of Silas House's Play: This is My Heart for You.
PFLAG OF CENTRAL KENTUCKY
$1,180 for marketing and educational literature.
UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE
$2,050 to incorporate into their medical school curriculum training on LGBTQ issues.
WILLIAMS NICHOLS INSTITUTE, INC
$2,700 for the purchase of appropriate acid-free folders and storage containers to preserve LGBTQ items and artifacts.
KENTUCKY FRIED ZINE FEST
$1,000 to sponsor LGBTQ Zine creators at the annual Zine Fest.
In addition to these grants, JustFundKY earmarked part of the proceeds for this year to advance the training and professional development of individuals who are fighting for fairness in communities around the state. We sponsored four dynamic individuals to attend the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's Creating Change Conference in Denver, Colorado in February.
