
2013 Grant Award Recipients
JustFundKY has awarded grants to 8 community-based organizations that advocate and advance fairness for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender citizens. Its Cliff Todd Endowment supports the following 2013 initiatives around the state:
EKU'S ALPHABET CENTER
$2000 to promote its Outreach Campaign" an effort to educate and alleviate misunderstanding and discrimination towards the LGBTQ community
AVOL
$2500 to fund "Young, Gay, Proud" an online project to capture the stories, experiences and voices of young gay men in central and eastern Kentucky
BLUEGRASS COMMUNITY AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE'S ALLIANCE PROJECT
$3750 to sponsor its "Inside and Out" a three educational event in honor of National Coming Out Day
CARNEGIE CENTER FOR LITERACY AND LEARNING
$2500 to sponsor a state wide LGBTQ writing contest
STATEWIDE FAIRNESS COALITION
$5000 to help support its educational efforts in rural Kentucky
GLSO
$7500 to paint a mural of Stonewall and other great moments in LGBTQ history in Lexington
INSTITUTE 193 AND THE MORLAN GALLERY AT TRANSYLVANIA UNIVERSITY
$4000 to fund an exhibition of contemporary painting, stories, history and faces of the LGBTQ community in Lexington
LEXINGTON FAIRNESS
$2500 to produce materials including classroom ready educational material about Central Kentucky's LGBTQ population
MURRAY STATE UNIVERSITY
$1000 to help fund their leadership training program for LGBTQ students
